Human Potential

[ 2018 – Summer used to be different ]

Nobody ever told us that Artificial Intelligence doesn’t mean
Overachiever,
Ivy-League candidate,
Nobel prize worthy,
Or that you finally get a friend that cares for you.
Your robot could be like the bully
that made your life miserable at elementary school.
It could be like the asshole
that you still regret choosing as your boyfriend 10 years ago.
Or like your annoying neighbor
that never breaks down the big cardboard boxes from endless deliveries
and fills up the recycling bin with mostly empty space.
Why does intelligence sound more magical to us
when it hides inside a machine?
